According to the latest publication (No. 135) B.E. 2561 (2019) regarding the safety of teeth whitening products, the Thai Food and Drug Administration (Thai-FDA) decided that teeth whitening products containing ≥6% hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide or other agents which have 6% or more hydrogen peroxide present or released are classified as Notified Medical Devices. The notification also include labeling requirements for such products are also published in this document.
